But I just love the smell of Fermentation. But the fall winemaking season is over, right?<strong> Wrong<\/strong>! I have made the Cabernet and the <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/index.php\/2019\/12\/wine-spotlight-south-african-pinotage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinotage<\/a><\/span><\/strong> from grapes and both came out great. Believe it or not, the grapes came in clean and gorgeous.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/carm_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3125 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/carm_1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"how to make wine - carmenere - winemaking - musto wine grape\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/carm_1-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/carm_1-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/carm_1.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">You can wait until May and get a large selection from South America. I make the Malbec or Carmenere every year. They are <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/index.php\/2020\/01\/how-much-wine-will-a-case-of-grapes-make-from-chile-or-south-africa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chile&#8217;s<\/a><\/span><\/strong> signature wines and they come out wonderful.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/frozen-must-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3123 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/frozen-must-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"how to make wine - frozen must - winemaking - musto wine grape\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/frozen-must-1-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/frozen-must-1-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/frozen-must-1.jpg 638w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">There is also an option of buying <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/the-winemakers-think-tank-vol-15-how-to-work-with-frozen-must\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">frozen must<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. These are grapes that Musto crushed and destemmed. The must is placed in 5.25 gallon pails and frozen. You take the 5.25 gallon pails home, let them thaw out and treat it like your usual must. The benefit of the frozen must is you get a free &#8220;cold soak&#8221; which creates a dark, full bodied wine. You can also purchase frozen white juice which is just as easy.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/OAJ_cK2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3126 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.juicegrape.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/OAJ_cK2.png\" alt=\"how to make wine - wine kit - winemaking - musto wine grape\" width=\"182\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">My final recommendation is the good old <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juicegrape.com\/categories\/Winemaking_Kits\/Mosti_Mondiale\/Original_All_Juice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>wine kit<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. Many new winemakers start off with kits, which is a good way to get introduced to this hobby. There are so many choices from all around the world. Even as a &#8220;grape&#8221; person, don&#8217;t be ashamed to make a kit.
